Leaf Plates

O-Town Pottery Leaf Plates

A natural process
A nourishing experience

I began making leaf impressions in clay in the year 2000 simply because I wanted to live with them. When I found that other people wanted to live with them, I began to make more, yet still one leaf at a time. Now, the leaf plates of O-Town Pottery are living in homes all over the world.

Life flows through the veins of a leaf, as it does through our own veins. Our blood is rich in iron. O-Town Pottery leaf plates are colored with a natural iron oxide. The veins of leaves, once providers of nourishment to a tree or a plant, are permanently imprinted into plates made of the earth, to become providers of nourishment to people. The leaves used during the process are then returned to the earth to compost, and again provide nourishment to trees and plants.

Safe for food, dishwashers, ovens, and microwaves.
